Badan Warisan Malaysia held its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at the Wei-Ling Gallery. Thank you to all members who attended the AGM in person and by proxy. We are pleased to announce the election results and warmly congratulate our newly elected council members joining Badan Warisan Malaysia’s 2025 Council.

While the AGM venue is usually held at our Heritage Centre, the venue was unavailable this year due to a prior booking for a venue hire. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the President for generously providing an alternative venue, along with refreshments that were greatly enjoyed by all attendees.
As we reflect on a busy and productive 2024, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the cause of heritage. With the new 2025 Council, and along with our loyal members and supporters, we are excited to continue working towards our shared goals and advancing the organisation’s mission of preserving and promoting heritage, in the year ahead.

1) NOTICE FOR BWM AGM:
Badan Warisan Malaysia 41st AGM 2024
Date : Saturday, 7 December 2024
Time : 10am
BWM AGM will be held via ZOOM virtual meeting (the link will be provided nearer to AGM date). Those who wish to attend the meeting are advised to download the ZOOM app in advance.
2) Council Members Retiring
In accordance with Article 35, one half of all Council members retire annually. They are:
- Lim Wei-Ling Esme, President
- YM Tengku Nasariah Tengku Syed Ibrahim, Honorary Secretary
- Ar. Anand Krishnan, Council Member
- Caesar Loong, Council Member
- Omar Bin Malek Ali Merican, Council Member
3) Nomination Form for Candidates on Council
If you wish to nominate any candidate to serve on the Council, please use the attached Nomination Form. The candidate can be a member of BWM or a non-member.
Reminder: A Council Member is also a Company Director.
The form must be completed and signed by a proposer & a seconder (both of whom must be BWM members) and also signed by the nominee indicating his/her agreement to stand for election.
In order to be included in the Notice for the Annual General Meeting that will be held at 10.00am on Saturday, 7 December 2024, the completed Nomination Form must be received by the office of Badan Warisan Malaysia at No. 2 Jalan Stonor Kuala Lumpur, or by email to membership@badanwarisan.org.my no later than 5.00pm on Monday, 18 November 2024.

BWM Annual General Meeting 2020
Dear Members,
This is a reminder to our email that was sent on 19 November 2020 with regards to the Notice of Annual General Meeting. The details are as follows:
Badan Warisan Malaysia 37th AGM 2020
Date : 19 December 2020 (Saturday)
Time : 10am
Venue: Virtual via Zoom
The meeting will be held via ZOOM virtual meeting. The link will be advised nearer to AGM date and we suggest you register your attendance with us (via email) to ensure you receive this. Those who wish to attend the meeting are advised to download the ZOOM app in advance.
If you wish to nominate any candidate to serve on the Council, please use the nomination form that was circulated in the email or contact membership@badanwarisan.org to obtain a copy. The candidate must be a current voting member of the Badan Warisan Malaysia with their subscription fully paid up to date. The form must be completed and signed by the proposer, seconder and the nominee indicating his/her agreement to stand for election.
In order to be included in the Notice for the Annual General Meeting at 10:00am on Saturday 19 December 2020, the completed nomination form must be received no later than 5:00pm on Monday 30 November 2020, by the office of Badan Warisan Malaysia at No. 2 Jalan Stonor Kuala Lumpur, or by email to membership@badanwarisan.org.my.
